GTIN belongs to a different product

What Google's message means

Google's catalogue says the gtin you sent identifies another product than the title, brand or image you sent.

Disapproved until the identifiers and the product agree — Google will not show an offer under the wrong catalogue entry.

The fix in Shopify

  1. Read the barcode off the physical product (each colour, size and pack size has its own) and compare it with Products → the product → that variant → Barcode.
  2. Correct the Barcode on the variant it belongs to, or correct the Title and Vendor if those are what's wrong. Save.
  3. Google re-checks the product at its next crawl (usually within a day); the next RevenueCue scan confirms it's clear.

The fix in WooCommerce

  1. Read the barcode off the physical product (each colour, size and pack size has its own) and compare it with the GTIN field on that variation (Product data → Variations → the variation).
  2. Correct the GTIN on the variation it belongs to, or correct the product name and Brand if those are what's wrong. Update.
  3. Google re-checks the product at its next crawl (usually within a day); the next RevenueCue scan confirms it's clear.

What it costs while it's down

Every product Google flags this way is out of Google Shopping — no ads, no free listing — until it's fixed. Its listed price is what isn't being shown; a free scan names each product and adds up the listed value at stake.

Enter your store's domain. The scan reads your public catalogue the way Googlebot does, names every product behind each leak and shows the listed value affected.
