Image too small: the size Google needs
What Google's message means
The main image is below Google's minimum: 100 × 100 px for most products, 250 × 250 px for apparel — and anything under about 800 px is also downgraded in results.
Below the minimum the product is disapproved; small-but-allowed images lose placement to competitors with sharper ones.
The fix in Shopify
- Products → the product → Media: upload the original photo at least 800 × 800 px (1200 px or more for zoom), the product filling most of the frame, and drag it first. Save.
- If the feed comes from a third-party feed app, its image setting must send the original file, not a size-suffixed thumbnail (
_100x100). - Google re-checks the product at its next crawl (usually within a day); the next RevenueCue scan confirms it's clear.
The fix in WooCommerce
- Products → the product → Product image → Set product image: upload the original photo at least 800 × 800 px (1200 px or more for zoom). Update.
- If a feed plugin is used instead of Google for WooCommerce, set its image size to ‘Full’ / original, not ‘thumbnail’ or ‘woocommerce_thumbnail’.
- Google re-checks the product at its next crawl (usually within a day); the next RevenueCue scan confirms it's clear.
What it costs while it's down
Every product Google flags this way is out of Google Shopping — no ads, no free listing — until it's fixed. Its listed price is what isn't being shown; a free scan names each product and adds up the listed value at stake.

Enter your store's domain. The scan reads your public catalogue the way Googlebot does, names every product behind each leak and shows the listed value affected.
