Product page unavailable in Merchant Center

What Google's message means

Google's crawler requested the product's link URL and did not get a normal page back — a 404/410, a 5xx, a timeout, a redirect loop, a login or region wall, or a robots.txt / firewall rule that blocks Googlebot.

Google will not show a product it cannot verify, so the product is disapproved in every surface (Shopping ads, free listings, Discover) until the page loads for Googlebot. Every click it would have earned goes to a competitor.

The fix in Shopify

  1. Products → the product: Status must be Active, and Sales channels must include both Online Store and Google & YouTube. Save.
  2. Online Store → Preferences → Password protection: untick ‘Restrict access to visitors with the password’ — a password page blocks Google from every product.
  3. Settings → Markets: the country Google shows the product in must be in an active market, or Shopify redirects Google's crawler away from the product page.
  4. If the product's handle (URL) changed, add a redirect from the old URL: Online Store → Navigation → View URL redirects → Create URL redirect.
  5. Google re-checks the product at its next crawl (usually within a day); the next RevenueCue scan confirms it's clear.

The fix in WooCommerce

  1. Products → the product → Publish box: Status Published, Visibility Public (not Private or Password protected), Catalog visibility ‘Shop and search results’. Update.
  2. Settings → Reading: untick ‘Discourage search engines from indexing this site’.
  3. If a security plugin or Cloudflare sits in front of the store, allow Google's crawlers: Wordfence → Firewall → Rate Limiting → ‘How should we treat Google's crawlers’ = Verified Google crawlers have unlimited access; Cloudflare → Security → Bots → Bot Fight Mode off.
  4. If the product's slug changed or it was deleted, republish it or redirect the old URL to the live one (Yoast SEO Premium → Redirects, or the Redirection plugin); the plugin sends the product's permalink as link.
  5. Google re-checks the product at its next crawl (usually within a day); the next RevenueCue scan confirms it's clear.

What it costs while it's down

Every product Google flags this way is out of Google Shopping — no ads, no free listing — until it's fixed. Its listed price is what isn't being shown; a free scan names each product and adds up the listed value at stake.

Enter your store's domain. The scan reads your public catalogue the way Googlebot does, names every product behind each leak and shows the listed value affected.
